By accepting, or paying for services from Lakeview Glass And Mirror LLC, you agree to all the Terms and Conditions listed below. A physical or digital signature is not required for these terms to be legally binding.
1. Delivery of Terms
This document will be handed to the customer in person or sent via email alongside the invoice detailing the services and materials rendered.
2. Services
Lakeview Glass And Mirror LLC provides shower door repairs and hardware replacements. We operate within Chicago, IL and surrounding areas. All work is done and installed by qualified workmen according to good commercial practices. Our workmen are fully covered by Workers Compensation and public general liability insurance. Lakeview Glass & Mirror LLC is acting as a repair service provider for a third-party installation. Limitation of Repair: Lakeview Glass And Mirror LLC will perform repairs. The goal of this service is to attempt to reduce or mitigate existing water leakage, tighten hardware or re-align the shower door.
3. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. We will decline the job if we believe the shower enclosure cannot be safely or effectively repaired. We will also refuse service if onsite conditions prevent us from safely working on the shower.
4. No Warranty on Existing Repairs
We do not warranty repairs made to pre-existing shower enclosures. Old glass, frames, and parts degrade over time. We are not responsible for future breaks or structural failures. Lakeview Glass And Mirror LLC OFFERS NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE MATERIALS, HARDWARE, OR THE FINAL WATERPROOF PERFORMANCE OF THE DOOR OR NEIGHBORING GLASS.
5. Thirty-Day Grace Period & Exclusions
We offer a 30-day grace period for customers to use the enclosure and ensure it functions properly. We will return to service or adjust the repaired door for free within this 30-day window.
This grace period strictly excludes and does not cover:
• New or further damages to glass panels.
• Damage to existing or newly installed hardware.
• Glass or hardware, scratches, chips, or breakage during or after service.
• No Guarantee of Watertight Seal: Due to the nature of existing, non-Company-installed, or incorrectly installed shower structures, uneven surfaces, or improper existing tile pitch, Lakeview Glass And Mirror LLC does not guarantee a completely watertight, leak-proof seal. While we take precautions, some leakage may still occur.
6. Customer Responsibilities
You must test the enclosure during the grace period. Call us immediately at (773) 871-7170 if you notice an issue. Do not attempt to fix the door yourself. Do not hire third-party services. Self-repairs or third-party alterations void this grace period completely.
7. Liability Limits
Glass is fragile by nature. We are not responsible for property damage caused by pre-existing structural issues. Tempered glass can shatter unexpectedly if stressed. We do not assume liability for the replacement of the glass, hardware or neighboring walls, floors, ceilings, shower fixtures or furniture. We do not assume liability for water damage or mold occurring before, during, or after our repair visit. Lakeview Glass And Mirror LLC does not assume any liability for bodily harm or personal injury resulting from existing, newly repaired, or failing shower enclosures.
Liability for Existing Conditions 7.1 Structural Integrity: Lakeview Glass And Mirror LLC is not responsible for the structural integrity of the walls, tiles, or previous hardware installations. 7.2 Drilling/Tile Risk: Drilling into glass, ceramic, porcelain, or stone tile carries inherent risks of cracking. Lakeview Glass And Mirror LLC is not responsible for repairing or replacing broken glass, tiles, marble, or surrounding materials that may crack. 7.3. Damage from Leaks: Lakeview Glass And Mirror LLC accepts no liability for water damage to flooring, walls, or subfloors caused by leaks from the shower door, before or after the repair. 7.4 Commercial & Airbnb Properties guests or renters often misuse shower enclosures.
• Liability: Property owners are fully responsible for damage caused by guests, renters, or tenants.
• Out-of-Scope Repairs: If a repair fails because someone slammed the door, hung on the towel bar, or forced the hinge, it voids your 30-day guarantee. We will charge our standard service rates to fix these issues.
• Lakeview Glass and Mirror, LLC is not liable for any financial losses you experience while waiting for a initial repair or a return warranty visit. No Business Loss Coverage: We do not compensate for lost Airbnb booking revenue, hotel room downtime, tenant rent credits, or commercial business interruptions. Scheduling: We will schedule return visits during our standard business hours as quickly as our availability allows, but we do not guarantee immediate or same-day service.
8. Dispute Resolution & Limitation of Liability
Any legal disputes, claims, or controversies arising from our services must be resolved through binding arbitration in Cook County, Illinois. In no event shall the total liability of Lakeview Glass And Mirror LLC exceed the actual dollar amount paid by the customer for the specific service rendered.
9. Payment & Finality of Sales
You must pay in full upon completion of the repair work. We accept credit cards, mobile payments, and Zelle. Your payment constitutes final acceptance of these terms.
All sales and services are strictly final. We do not offer any refunds, credits, or exchanges for materials or labor under any circumstances.
